Pirate, Hayride, Bonfire, Weenie Roast

The past few years Halloween has kind of come and gone without being noticed. Yesterday, however, turned out to be a nice day.
It started out as a long hectic day at school. I was exhausted by the time I got home. Then I remembered Billy (my puppy) had a costume and I decided to dress him up. With lots of treats, I was able to get a few pictures.

Earlier in the week, friends/neighbors/classmates from the trailer park decided to have a halloween hayride, bonfire, weenie roast. The big John Deere tractor came by. The hayride took us (including Billy) into a clearing in the woods behind the trailer park. When people showed up, they would call and Kevin would pick them up with the hayride. The primary goal of the night was to have a fire big enough to be visible from space...I think it came close.

Anyway, it was a fun night...a true Southern experience, I think.

Hayrides and bonfires are certainly some of the perks of country living. Personally, I could do without the opossum that lives under my steps! Glad you started a blog. I love the picture of your pup.
